About Me

An Edgenuity Online Instructor at Grandview High School, Carmen Gardner-Jackson joined Seeds of Health in 2021. She first served as a long-term substitute teacher at Veritas High School, before assuming her position at Grandview and as a Job Corps teacher at Tenor Cathedral Square.

Carmen is passionate about working with At-Risk students, having worked with At-Risk high school students for over seventeen years. She firmly believes that a student’s past is not what defines their future potential and sees Grandview as being uniquely situated to provide students with these second or third chances.

Carmen holds a Master of Business Administration, a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and is currently working toward earning her Master of Education.

In addition to supporting her students, Carmen serves as a high school mentor and enjoys playing pickleball and traveling.

“My favorite thing about my chosen career path is observing students manifest into high school graduates and pursue their next steps, whether in college, vocational training, or entering the workforce – it is incredibly rewarding for me.”
