Our Mission

Established in 1987, Grandview High School is a partnership school authorized under the Children-at-Risk Law through Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) and proudly part of the Seeds Schools network. It is a tuition-free public school and serves students “at-risk” of not completing high school or who are experiencing difficulty in a traditional high school setting. Grandview helps young adults become academically, emotionally, and socially prepared for productive participation in the 21st century.

Grandview empowers students to graduate through high expectations established in a safe, secure, and supportive learning environment. Students benefit from a traditional school day program and online credit options, which, along with Grandview’s trimester model, accelerate credit earning and recovery. Robust support systems and resources help students manage stress and life challenges, while smaller class sizes and built-in connection time provide students with one-on-one access to teachers and staff. Grandview graduates earn an MPS diploma.

After 40 years, Grandview High School will be closing at the end of the 2026-27 school year due to changes in Milwaukee’s educational landscape. However, Grandview will remain open during the 2026-27 school year and is currently accepting students.
